Lorena’s love for yoga began more than two decades ago, but her journey truly started long before that — rooted in her vibrant upbringing in Brazil. Born and raised in a culture rich with warmth, movement, and connection, she carried that spirit with her when she moved to the United States in her early teens, settling in New Jersey before making her way to New York City at 18.
During her 12 transformative years in the city, yoga first entered her life as a physical practice — a way to build strength, flexibility, and resilience amidst the fast pace of urban life. But what began as movement soon became something much deeper. Her mat evolved into a sacred space — a place of stillness in the noise, a place to cultivate self-awareness, contentment, and a profound mind-body connection. Yoga became not just something she practiced, but something she lived.
With over 20 years of dedicated practice, Lorena completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 and continued expanding her knowledge with an additional training in 2026, along with a specialized Kids Yoga Teacher Training. She brings to her classes a beautiful blend of cultural richness, intuitive guidance, and heartfelt presence. Her teaching weaves together mindful movement, intentional breath, and soulful awareness — always creating a welcoming, inclusive space where students of all ages feel seen, supported, and empowered.
As a devoted mother of two, Lorena understands firsthand the delicate dance of nurturing a family while honoring personal growth. Motherhood has deepened her compassion and strengthened her belief that yoga is not about perfection — it is about presence.
In 2024, she and her family relocated from South Jersey to South Carolina with a dream in their hearts: to plant roots and open a yoga studio devoted to community, connection, and healing. She envisions a space where everyone — from beginners to lifelong practitioners — feels at home.
Deeply inspired by the outdoors, Lorena finds joy in practicing yoga beneath open skies and hiking with her family. Nature fuels her spirit, and that grounded, expansive energy flows into every class she teaches. She gently invites her students to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect — not just with their bodies, but with themselves.
For Lorena, yoga is more than a practice. It is a way of living with intention, gratitude, and an open heart.
